Abstract

Avulsion of the tail in the cat mostly leads to impaired micturition and paralysis of the tail. The histories of 53 cats were studied to find correlations between neurological and radiological findings and prognosis. 60.3% of the cats showed normal micturition immediately after the trauma or during therapy without relations between neurological deficits and prognosis. There was no definite conclusion, if operation or conservative management is the therapy of choice.
