Abstract

When you want to study social movements around neurodiversity or take part in them, knowing what is happening online is essential: but how can you do so ? This presentation will deal with digital activism around neurodiversity (focusing mainly on the French context) and deal with the scientific and political possibilities brought by the visualization of the dynamics of power and knowledge online. The first three parts of the presentation will be about the general context of my PhD research (1). I will show the software (Hyphe / Gephi) I use to create the cartography of the web around neurodiversity and the methods (netnography) I use to lead analysis in the human and social sciences (2). I will expose some results about the position of France and French autistics in an international context (3) The last two parts of the presentation will be about the possible applications of those methods in a context of social activism in order to strengthen a digital strategy (4) and about the way you can use this cartography to interview activists and give voice to them (5).
