Abstract

This article offers to hear and understand Marie NDiaye's theatre through the strange or stranger's "voices" that it comprises, voices tied to characters in a floating manner. It considers the way they contribute to an ambivalent incarnation as the characters are penetrated by "other" voices. These voices are neither linked to a precise frame of reference, nor likened to the truth, and we will see how they invite the audience to capture their complex meshing, often "holed", to make "theatre" in a multiplying of points of view.
