Abstract

In this paper, a new approach which combines the group contribution and topological index methods is proposed for correlating the thermodynamic properties of organic compounds. The critical temperatures of alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, acids, ketones, amines and sulphur ethers have been correlated with this method, and an average error of 0.45% has been obtained for 200 compounds. / In this paper, a new approach which combines the group contribution and topological index methods is proposed for correlating the thermodynamic properties of organic compounds.
