Abstract

The research station of Angers is one of the four Research Station dealing with fruit Breeding at the National Institute for Agronomical Researches. Other ones are Cervione in Corsica for citrus, Versailles for varieties of apple for processing (Cider and fruit juice) and Bordeaux for Stone fruits and nuts.[br/] Our Research Station deals with breeding of apples, pears, blackcurrants, redcurrants and raspberries. We began with this breeding work in 1958.
