Abstract

A technique is described for producing a more flexible cast of the cavities in the temporal bone for teaching purposes. Instead of using rigid polymers to produce the model with all its inherent disadvantages, silicon rubber is used. It has the advantage that the cast is easier to produce, it is more robust when handled, and teachers can bend portions of the model to demonstrate underlying structures.
