Abstract

The bulk properties of nuclear matter are studied by considering a chirally invariant lagrangian which contains an interaction term involving scalar and vector mesons, of the form (apart from a numerical factor) used by Boguta. The calculation is performed in the relativistic Hartree approximation which includes the baryon vacuum fluctuation correction.
