Abstract
This study examined the use of age as a moderating variable on the relationship between the use of internet on smartphone, the intended use and some psychosocial variables. To reach your goal, we used the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, extended to the context of consumption (UTAUT2), which was operated by means of Partial Least Squares approach Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM. The results revealed the possibility of using the variable age as moderator about some of these relationships were and suggested future research for operationalizing the moderator variable age cohorts through generational cohorts. / El presente estudio analizó el uso de la variable edad como moderadora en las relaciones entre la utilización de internet en smartphone, la intención de uso y algunas variables. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se utilizó la Teoría Unificada de la Aceptación y Uso de Tecnología, extendida al contexto del consumo (UTAUT2), que se realizó por medio del Approach Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Los resultados revelaron la posibilidad de utilizar la variable edad como moderadora de algunas de estas relaciones. De esta forma, surgieron investigaciones futuras que manejan la variable moderadora edad por medio de los cortes generacionales.
