Reactive membranes on posterior chamber lens implants.

The cytopathology of two types of membranes on surgically removed posterior chamber lens implants is described on the background of the clinical histories. Both implants exhibit film-like proteinaceous capsules with numerous cells of macrophage origin in one case and virtually without cells in the other.
