Abstract

We investigate the possibility that the anomalous γℓ ℓ events seen at the CERN p p collider are due to the chain decay of Z 0 → γ + X 0 and X 0 → γℓ ℓ , where X 0 is an SU(2) L singlet spinless boson with its mass to be nearly 90 GeV/ c 2 . This process well reproduces the characteristic properties seen in the γℓ ℓ events such as the observed values of invariant masses M (ℓ 1 ℓ 2 ), M (ℓ 1 γ ) and M (ℓ 2 γ ).
