Abstract

Dark coronal discoloration is a common outcome of traumatic dental injuries in primary incisors. However, there are only a few research studies on the mechanism that causes dark discoloration, the condition of the pulp, and the preferred treatment of such teeth. This article is a summary of the author's research studies and personal experience regarding dark coronal discoloration of traumatized primary incisors. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons A/S and American Association of Endodontists.
