Abstract

Oxidative stress plays an important role in doparminergic neuron apoptosis induced by 6-OHDA injection. Exogenous SOD in the SNcp effectively reduces active oxygen, promotes the antineurotoxic ability of doparminergic neurons, reduces doparminergic neuron apoptosis and ameliorated the rat rotating behavior. Exogenous SOD has short-term antioxidant effect, which weakens progressively over extended time.
