Abstract

The results indicate that the placenta is not disproportionately bigger, and therefore unlikely to be the cause, in large-for-gestational age infants. Maternal size appeared to be the major determinant of birthweight percentile ranking in pregnancies with gestational impaired glucose tolerance.
