Abstract

The nonrelativistic polarization operator, energies and e + e − widths of the S wave Coulomb bound states, and the quark-antiquark Coulomb correlations G S (0, 0; τ ) are computed with an accuracy of O( α s 2 ). As a result of this calculation, the value, Λ MS = 0.13 ± 0.04 GeV , of the fundamental QCD scale for time-like momentum transfers is obtained. The obtained correlator G S (0, 0; τ ) is in agreement with the previous result of the authors.
