Abstract : This study analyze the children's gender performativity in a School of Early Childhood Education in the outskirts of the northeast region of São Paulo - the district Tremembé - anthropologically reflecting on the establishment of femininity and masculinity on the suburban childhood. In the field research observed they ways of playing, taken as a privileged activity in which gender was delineated in action, in a conflictive sociality that demonstrated both ruptures and continuity of heteronormativity and categories of hegemonic gender gestated in the suburbs. In this ethnographic context, the children themselves brogth elements of gender categorizations constituents of their identities and social experiences as subjects: funk music and the world of crime So it became necessary to consider the production of gendered subjects and the relation of this production to funk and the universe of crime, two main references in children playing.
