Abstract

For many years siloxane materials have been used to improve the surface and such application properties of rodiation curable systems as slip, antiblocking, mar resistance, levelling, wetting and foam control. In this paper the different types of silicone additives will be described in terms of their chemical structure and suitability for use in radiation curoble coatings. Also an independent study corried out on a flexographic press of PIRA International supports the work performed by Dow Corning.
