Abstract

• Metal peroxide (MO2) has becoming a potential therapeutic agent for tumor treatment. • MO2 can alleviate hypoxia and remodel tumor microenvironment by self-supplying O2. • MO2 can assist and promote various tumor therapies to enhance therapeutic efficacy. • The metal ions in MO2 endow MO2 with special functions and extend its applications.
