Abstract

The use of a standard nomogram to manage anticoagulation therapy in the oral surgery patient requiring heparinization is strongly recommended. This provides optimal therapeutic benefit, decreases the incidence of complications, and makes the hospitalization less costly and more comfortable for the patient.
