Abstract

•Plasma DPP4 concentration is significantly lower in MS subjects than in healthy.•Plasma DPP activity is significantly lower in MS patients than in healthy subjects.•DPP activity inversely correlates with MS clinical disease activity score (EDSS).•Low DPP4 levels and enzymatic activity may play a key role in MS immunoregulation.
