Abstract

A review of case records of 107 hypertensive patients at least 60 years of age indicates that methyldopa as part of a total antihypertensive regimen was highly effective for blood pressure reduction. These patients showed significant decreases from baseline in mean sitting systolic and diastolic blood pressures.
