Abstract

Lasers are important tools for surface materials engineering due to the possibility of localized and fast heating rates. In this work, the laser-heated crystallization of Li2SiO3–CaSiO3 eutectic composition glass is correlated with the surface scanning speed. The results show that a Jackson–Hunt-like relation describes the interphase average spacing.
