Kinetic analyses of the reactions of selected dialkoxy methanes with OH radicals / Kinetische Untersuchungen der Reaktionen ausgesuchter Dialkoxymethane mit OH-Radikalen

The gas-phase reactions of OH (X"2#PI#) radicals with di-i-propoxymethane (DiPM), di-n-butoxymethane (DnBM), di-sec-butoxymethane (DsBM) and 1,3-dioxolane were studied in the temperature range 250-710 K. The experiments were carried out in argon at a total pressure of 400 Torr. Additional measurements at 50 and 100 Torr exhibited that all reactions are independent of total pressure in the range investigated. OH radicals were generated by excimer laser photolysis of H_2O_2 at 248 nm and detected by laser-induced fluorescence. For all reactions investigated, weak temperature dependencies were observed.
