This study is about the influence of cognitive systems on choice between alternatives, a study of economics behavioral. We build our sample from classes of students of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and also through Google Docs questionnaires using the internet. The Cognite Reflection Test (FREDERICK, 2005) was employed and selected biological characteristics of the participants were also considered. We find that subjects respond what first comes to mind (automatically). However, choice is improved as alternative responses are embodied in the questionnaire. Incidentally, the best responses were achieved by male, nonbeliever subjects.
