Abstract

•New data of heat transfer coefficient in metal-foam tubes were obtained.•Influence of tube diameter on heat transfer characteristics was analyzed.•Heat transfer coefficient in metal-foam tubes decreases as tube diameter decreases.•A heat transfer correlation reflecting tube diameter influence was developed.
