Abstract
The transformability of factories is an essential design field for future-proof factory planning. In order to shape the ability to change in a targeted manner, corresponding planning approaches provide for an assessment of potential adaptation requirements. These are triggered by so-called change drivers. This article structures the factory environment into relevant areas of influence and supports factory planners in systematically identifying change drivers. To this, the factory environment is first subdivided into three spheres, each of which can be systematically structured into areas of influence.
