Abstract
HER+ Workstream 1.1. aims to gain greater understanding of where and how normative constraints limit food system actor’s capacities to build economic resilience to Climate Change and requires an Evidence Synthesis on learnings. Output 1.1. focuses on addressing the Research Question: What specific gender norms constrain (limit /affect) women AFS actors from building economic resilience to CC challenges in AFS, and to what extent do these discriminatory biases exist at different institutional levels? The purpose of the Evidence Synthesis is to collate evidence of normative constraints that create gender differences in economic resilience to climate change challenges. On this basis the Evidence Synthesis will provide entry points for Gender Transformative Approaches (GTAs) to enable the CGIAR and its partners to influence gender norms and to help women actors to build economic resilience in the face of climate change across food systems.
