Abstract

Sandra K. Trisdale, Ph.D. writes about grief and loss with a focus on HIV/AIDS. Trisdale discusses the feelings HIV-positive people may have about their own condition as well as their feelings about other HIV-positive individuals. Topics include the "normal" grief process, how people respond to those who are grieving, and the different ways HIV-positive women and men experience grief. A model of the stages of grief as they apply to HIV is also detailed.
