Abstract

•Gα12 signaling increases miR-135b levels, which directly inhibits FOXO1 translation.•Gα12 also inhibits miR-194 levels, causing MDM2-mediated inhibition of FOXO1.•A large fraction of HCC patients with high Gα12 expression show FOXO1 repression.•Gα12-mediated hepatoma cell growth is attenuated by FOXO1 overexpression.
