Abstract

Abstract A BRIEF description is presented of a numerical method of solving problems of the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past bodies of finite dimensions, based on splitting of the non-stationary equations of motion. The difference scheme of the proposed method permits the flows to be calculated without using the boundary conditions for the vortex or pressure on the solid surfaces. As an illustration the results of numerical calculations of a three-dimensional flow past a rectangular parallelepiped for various Reynolds numbers are presented.
