Abstract

The synthetic processes of ceramic pigments with diortosilicate structures - helenite, hardystonite, akermanite have been studied using natural wollastonite and nepheline slime. It was ascertained that synthetic reactions run more successfully in the temperature range 1100…1200 °С with nepheline slime than with wollastonite but the presence of iron oxide in nepheline slime affects negatively on color properties of cobalt- and nickel bearing pigments.
