Abstract

Abstract Interpretation of magnetotelluric soundings on the Siberian platform suggests the presence of anomalously high conductivities in the lower crust around a depth of 35 km. The most probable explanation of this phenomenon is the presence of supercritical fluid in pores and microcracks.
