Abstract

Abstract The distribution of neptunium(IV) between organic solvents (benzene, carbon tetrachloride, cyclohexane and n-hexane) containing acetylacetone and 1 M sodium perchlorate solution has been investigated using the AKUFVE-method. The dependence on hydrogen ion, reagent and metal concentrations at various temperatures are given. From the results obtained, the stability constant, distribution and thermodynamic constants of the neptunium(IV)-acetylacetonate complexes have been determined.
