Abstract

Abstract Crystal structures of the YCo 6Ge 6-type for GdCo 6X 6 (X=Ge, Sn) and TbCo 6Ge 6 are determined by X-ray diffraction. The magnetic data indicates that GdCo 6Ge 6 is an antiferromagnet with a Néel temperature equal to 3 K while GdCo 6Sn 6 and TbCo 6Ge 6 are paramagnetic down to 1.8 K.
