Abstract

Abstract The case history of a patient with a chronic dissecting aneurysm of the aorta with unusual x-ray findings is presented. As the number of surgical procedures upon occlusive arterial diseases grows, the necessity for familiarity with the x-ray appearance of the less common arterial diseases becomes more important. This case history is presented as an example of a dangerous diagnostic pitfall in the hope that it may be avoided by others in the future.
