Abstract

Abstract Negative capacitance has been observed for the first time in the glassy alloys of Ga x Te 100− x in the audio frequency range (0.12–100 kHz). It has been explained in terms of RLC component, i.e., due to the inertial conductivity where Maxwellian dielectric relaxation time ( τ m) is less than average dielectric relaxation time ( τ). Temperature dependence of DC conductivity on the bulk samples of these glassy alloys have also been reported in the temperature range (185–370 K) to understand the dielectric loss and conduction mechanism in these materials.
