Abstract

Abstract The Raman spectra of superconducting YSr 2Cu 3O 7.7 ( T c=60 K) prepared under high pressure in the excess of oxygen, are reported and discussed. The spectra are much richer than those of YBa 2Cu 3O 7− δ which is due to the lower symmetry of atomic sites of the basal plane, as well as to the replacement of part of copper square groups on the Cu1–O chains by carbonate (CO 3) groups.
