Abstract

Abstract The theory of the effect of varying the excitation intensity on the position of the emission peak of the broad structureless band (attributed to donor-acceptor pair recombination) is investigated. In particular, effects resulting from impurity banding, preferential pairing, excited state donor emission and variation of the donor-acceptor pair capture cross-section with varying distance of separation are described.
