Abstract

•An experimental study on the pool boiling curve of R14 was performed under 0.1 MPa.•The heat transfer data were obtained for two points and three boiling regimes.•HTC of the nucleate boiling increased with the heat flux linearly in a logarithmic relationship.•HTC first decreased and then slightly increased with the heat flux in the film boiling regime.•The CHF results were compared to several predictive correlations.
