Abstract

Highlights•We present a preliminary study on the disposal practices for GNSS.•The dynamics in the MEO region is considered to define stable or fast re-entry orbits.•The possibility of exploiting solar radiation pressure and low-thrust is investigated.•Simulation scenarios are defined according to maintenance and disposal practices.•A novel tool to estimate the avoidance collision maneuver rate is presented.
