Abstract

Abstract The neoclassical superradiance in an extended system of excited molecules with a quasiequidistant spectrum of vibrational levels is proposed. The optimal conditions for this collective spontaneous radiation process, as well as the intensity and duration of coherent pulses to be generated, are found. The estimations carried out are favorable for the realization of neoclassical superradiance in molecular gases in the infrared spectral range. The essential differences from Dicke's superradiance of two-level atoms are underlined.
