Abstract

Abstract The influence of cyproheptadine on the neuroleptic-catalepsy in rats was studied. Cyproheptadine antagonized dose-dependently the catalepsy induced by spiroperidol, pimozide, fluphenazine and reserpine. The anticataleptic effect of two antiparkinsonian drugs, L-DOPA or amantadine was potentiated by cyproheptadine.
