Abstract

Abstract A specific antiserum against sheep ICSH is capable of neutralizing the effect of endogenous ICSH in the Long-Evans female rat. The extent of the effect depends on the dose of antiserum used and to some degree on the age of the animal. Younger animals seem to be less sensitive to the antiserum, just as they are less sensitive to the gonadotropins themselves, but even in this case histological examination discloses a conspicuous effect.
