Abstract

Abstract IN THE case of strong indeterminates and essential non-linearity of the systems of equations, the iterative method, in which at each step the equations are linearized and the resulting system of linear equations is solved by the method of least squares, in general, gives a divergent sequence. A certain modification of the formulas of this method restores the convergence of the iterations.
