Note on back of photo reads: "2 West Virginia boys and Jack Denny, Jan. 1935." Jack Denny was raised in Evansville, Indiana, and joined the CCC in 1935. After spending some time in Fort Knox, Kentucky, he was sent to CCC Camp Trabucco F-366, Company #546. While there he worked with crews installing phone lines and building firebreaks. He eventually ended up at CCC Camp Garfield in Pomeroy, Washington, where he married and lived the rest of his life.
