Abstract

Abstract A case of microgenia and a method of correction are presented. Tantalum has been mentioned as a possible satisfactory graft material for use in the correction of facial defects. Portions of rib removed during sympathectomy or in the course of other thoracic surgery are an excellent source of cartilage, for correcting any facial deficiency, including microgenia. Refrigated cartilage is recommended as the most successful material used to date.
