Abstract

Abstract A series of transition-metal-directed self-assembled admantanoid-shaped supramolecules incorporating ferrocenyl moieties has been prepared in virtually quantitative yields. They have been fully characterized by a variety of techniques including NMR, elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, and absorption spectroscopy. These new complexes show no luminescence in room temperature solution, presumably due to the presence of the ferrocene moiety which quenches the potential emission.
