Abstract

Compared with the Earth, Mars is lack of dense atmosphere and global intrinsic magnetic field. These result in some special processes or phenomena in the morphology of the Martian ionosphere. The solar wind can interact with the ionosphere directly, and excite waves which can present as vertical wavelike structures in the electron density profiles of the topside ionosphere.
