The Federal Land Brandenburg is taken as an example by this brochure to present the application of advanced and innovative technologies in waste management under energy economy aspects. The information provided by this brochure is meant as a contribution to the avoidance of costs and environmental pollution which are unnecessarily caused by the use of either unfavorable or unsuitable technologies. The waste disposal structures dating to the time before Germany's unification have collapsed to some extent and will have to be upgraded to meet the West German state of the art and valid legistation relative to environmental protection. All public and industrial waste disposal facilities, i.e. landfills, waste utilization and treatment facilities, need to be taken stock of and to be rated by experts for a possible continuation of operation if and when modified correspondingly. (orig./UA) / In dieser Broschuere wird exemplarisch fuer das Bundesland Brandenburg der Einsatz moderner und innovativer Technologien in der Abfallwirtschaft aus energiewirtschaftlicher Sicht dargestellt. Die Informationen in dieser Broschuere sollen dazu beitragen, dass durch den Einsatz unguenstiger bzw. ungeeigneter Technologien bei der Abfallentsorgung unnoetige Kosten und Umweltbelastungen verhindert werden. Die damaligen Entsorgungsstrukturen sind teilweise schon zusammengebrochen und muessen sich, insbesondere unter Umweltaspekten, zukuenftig an dem westdeutschen Stand der Technik und den jetzt gueltigen Gesetzen messen lassen. Dringend geboten ist daher eine Bestandsaufnahme aller oeffentlichen und industriellen Entsorgungsanlagen wie Deponien, Verwertungs- und Behandlungsanlagen sowie die Begutachtung, ob und gegebenenfalls mit welchen Veraenderungen diese Anlagen weiter betrieben werden koennen.
