In this study, we made thetechnical qualification of borofloat 33 glassand also other much cheaper conventionalglasses, associated with solid metallizationby a broadband characterization methodbased on the S-parameters. This made itpossible to extract the electromagneticparameters (dielectric permittivity, tangentloss) necessary for the design andconstruction of low visual impact antennas.The data of these measurement results areprocessed. The values of S11, S33, S12, and S34are then extracted. The values of the losstangent and the dielectric constant are thusmeasured. We have obtained for the classicalglass εr = 6.5 and tanδ = 0.0206; for themicroscope glass εr = 6.15 and tanδ = 0.021and at the end for the Borofloat glass εr = 3.9and tanδ = 0.012.
