Abstract

Summary After treatment of synaptosomes with Nonidet-containing buffers, a proportion of the proteins remained insoluble. The major component (50%) of the residue was identified as a spectrin-like protein by immunodetection after mono- and bi-dimensional gel electrophoresis and transfer to nitrocellulose paper. Actin was also present.
